Some of the latest volunteering opportunities with Clapton CFC. Our club is fan-owned and fan-run, and every member is encouraged to get involved.
Merch packing – Wednesdays
We need people to help with packing orders, usually on Wednesdays at the Old Spotted Dog Ground during the day. This is ideal for anyone free during the day, for whatever reason. It’s light work, requires no special skills, and full training will be provided. We enjoy a good chat over coffee and tea while we work, and there’s no commitment – just join when you can, even if it’s only once in a while. Please email merch@claptoncfc.co.uk
Safety reps – home matchdays
We always need volunteers to wear the pink high-viz vest and become a safety rep for a Women’s and Men’s First Team home game. It’s an absolutely essential role and it’s a great way to contribute to CCFC and the matchday experience. Reps are there to answer questions – but not tell anyone what to do. Please email matchday@claptoncfc.co.uk if you can volunteer for any future home match. Even volunteering once a season is a massive help. No experience necessary, training is given pre-game.
Merch stall – home matchdays
We’re looking for volunteers to help run the merchandise stall on matchdays. This includes setting up the stall and selling items an hour before kick-off, during half-time, and for half an hour after the game. We also need help packing away the stall once the day is done. If you’re passionate about supporting the club and enjoy interacting with fellow fans, this is a great way to get involved! Even if you can only commit to helping occasionally, we’d really appreciate the support. Please email merch@claptoncfc.co.uk
Video editing
The Comms’ Video sub-committee, which deals with editing match highlights and goal clips, are looking for more volunteers. We’d love to get videos out quicker after games, but we’re spread thinly already so require extra help. The task involves editing Veo video footage from our Men’s and Women’s First Team games. You don’t need to attend the games to help out, in fact you can live anywhere, and it’s a great service for members who missed the match. You don’t need to be an editing genius, just keen with basic skills. If you can help, email comms@claptoncfc.co.uk
Youth coaching
We offer coaching in Forest Gate, Stratford and Walthamstow for hundreds of kids from all backgrounds and abilities. We have teams playing in all age groups. We urgently need more volunteers and coaches. Many of our sessions are full, with waiting lists of eager children wanting to play. We are keen to encourage under-represented individuals to become coaches, including women, Black, Asian and minority ethnic people, people with disabilities and members of the LGBTQ+ community. You don’t need to be as skilled as Jude Bellingham or as tactically savvy as Sarina Wiegman. If you can help as a coach or volunteer, please email: youthtraining@claptoncfc.co.uk
