The men’s first team host our old rivals NW London on Saturday as the pre-season heats up – quite literally judging by the weather forecast.
The Clapton CFC women’s first team can announce their pre-season friendlies this summer – including a prestigious home game against AFC Wimbledon.
It’s a return to Walthamstow at 3pm this Saturday for the men’s first team’s third low-key pre-season friendly of the summer.
Some of their set-up are CCFC members and have played for the club too so it should be another good clash against familiar friendly faces.
The 2022/23 season kicks off on the weekend of June 25 and 26 with two friendlies at the Old Spotted Dog Ground.
The men’s first team friendly schedule is now pretty much complete, with games against Step 5 and 6 opponents plus four from our own Step 7 level, and an in-house clash.
The season is not quite over yet for all of our teams – the men’s development team are in action Sunday morning against FC 22.
It’s a final chance of silverware for the women’s first team after the near misses in the league and in the Capital Women’s Cup final – not to mention the FA Cup run.
