At Sunday’s Clapton CFC Women’s First Team home game vs Aylesford, we’re holding a collection for our friends at the Outside Project.
The Outside Project is an independent, grassroots LGBTIQ+ community shelter and centre led by LGBTQ+ activists, friends and colleagues who work in the homelessness sector and understand the unique issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community.
They are now gearing up to open a new Trans Winter Night Shelter in Hackney but need funds, kit and supplies. Trans people face unique risks and discrimination when homeless and attempting to access existing crisis housing services.
You can donate at the game via cash or card. We are also taking donations of items they particularly need: Warm clothes, hats, gloves, socks, soup, noodles and treats.
If you can’t make the game, you can support the crowdfunding campaign online at chuffed.org/project/transpower
Visit the Outside Project for more information on their work.
