RIP Stephen Jenkins

Tragically Clapton CFC youth coach and fervent supporter Stephen Jenkins died last weekend aged just 37.

Stephen was a wonderful coach who spent the last five years getting the youth training project off the ground. He came to us as a volunteer and worked hard gaining experience, getting his badges and becoming one of our longest serving coaches. He was instrumental in setting up the first youth team four years ago, and played a key role in getting the girls sessions started on Saturdays.

He was a massive supporter of the club generally and many will know him from games at the Old Spotted Dog Ground, or for his social media posts from that amazing Women’s FA Cup run.

The proud Welshman was originally from Carmarthenshire but had settled in Walthamstow with his family. We will miss Stephen very much and we send our love and condolences to his loved ones.
