Clapton Community FC vs Sutton United takes place on Sunday, July 21 2024 with a 2pm kick off at the Old Spotted Dog Ground, Forest Gate, East London.

This is the Women’s First Team’s second friendly of pre-season after the visit to Independiente de Vallecas last weekend.

It’s also the team’s first home friendly at the Old Spotted Dog Ground after the summer reseeding of the Old Spotted Dog Ground pitch.

Opposition

Sutton United Women formed in 2016 but have quickly risen up the levels and are now at tier five (one level above us). They also now have U23s and U21s teams in the women’s football pyramid.

Previous meetings

This will be our second meeting with The U’s first team, following on from a dramatic Capital Cup semi-final penalty shoot-out win in March 2022, but we’ve also played their U23s.
