Clapton Community FC head west once again for an away fixture at Denham United this Sunday.
It is the first meeting between the two teams with CCFC having been promoted from the seventh tier this summer, while Denham were relegated by just a single point in a very tight fifth tier.
Denham United is the largest dedicated all female club in the southeast of England. They have teams ranging from U9s to seniors, along with a development side for girls age 7+.
The women’s game is growing at a rapid rate, and grassroots clubs such as Denham United and hopefully Clapton Community FC will play an essential part in its future growth.
With no previous fixture between the two clubs there is no ‘last time out’ for this game.
Both sides opened the season with away defeats, Denham United at Dorking Wanderers and Clapton CFC at Brentford, so will be eager to get back to winning ways here.
