The venue for the Clapton CFC Men’s First Team cup final against Forest Hill Park has been changed.

The SCEFL Division One Cup final will now take place at Barking’s Mayesbrook Park ground.

The date and time remains as advertised – Saturday, May 10 at 2pm. Ticket and other details to follow in due course.

The original final venue turned out to be double booked but fortunately three alternative grounds stepped up offering to host on the same day while another could host a Tuesday night cup final.

Our strong preference was to keep the game on the same date, not least because people have booked train and even plane tickets to attend.

At a league management committee meeting last night, the SCEFL opted for Barking on the original Saturday date.
