Date and venue set for Clapton CFC Men’s First Team cup final vs Forest Hill Park

The Clapton CFC Men’s First Team will take on Forest Hill Park in the final of the SCEFL Division One Cup. The game has been scheduled for Saturday, May 10 at VCD Athletic’s ground in Crayford, South East London. Further details including tickets in due course.

Clapton CFC reached the final having beaten Meridian VP, SC Thamesmead and Halls Athletic in earlier rounds. Forest Hill Park meanwhile beat Faversham Strike Force, Canterbury City and Tooting Bec on the way to the final.

In our meeting in the league earlier in the season, Forest Hill Park won it 2-1.

This will be the CCFC Men’s First Team’s fourth cup final in our history, two of which have been won on penalties against Hilltop and Kensington Dragons. The other one ended in a defeat against Catholic United.

This will be the second cup final of the season for Forest Hill Park, who are also top of the division and are in the process of rebranding as SE Dons.

The cup was launched last season, when Lewisham Borough lifted the inaugural trophy. They beat Larkfield & New Hythe 3-2 in the final, which was held on a Tuesday night at a neutral venue, Corinthians FC’s ground in Longfield in Kent.
