The details have been released for the 2024/25 play-offs for the Southern Counties East Football Leagye Division One, in which the Clapton Men’s First Team play.
At the moment, CCFC are outsiders for the play-offs, but with a good end to the season can still make it in.
The teams finishing in positions 2, 3, 4 and 5 will take their place in the play-offs with the semi-finals being a one off knockout at the home of the team finishing highest in the table.
The two semi-final winners will then play in the final, which will be held at the home of the highest finishing team in the table.
The final day of the normal league season is Saturday, April 26, when we play Forest Hill Park at home.
Semi-finals will take place in midweek, week commencing Monday, April 28.
- 2nd place v 5th place
- 3rd place v 4th place
The play-off final then takes place on Saturday, May 3.
The winners of the final will then be promoted to Step 5. In Clapton’s case it would either mean going into the Essex Senior League, or possibly the SCEFL Premier.
Last season we lost to Wormley Rovers in the Eastern Counties League play-off semi-final before being laterally transferred to the SCEFL.
