Violence against women and girls pledge sheets

16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign beginning on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and concluding on December 10, Human Rights Day.

Violence against women and girls (VAWG) remains the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violation in the world.

Our mens’ teams pledges and photos from last year (see example at the top of the page) were a much appreciated act of solidarity and support for young people impacted by VAWG.

This year, men’s and women’s teams will again be making pledges. We invite members to do the same at the next women’s and men’s home games – or you can download your own pledge sheet below.

If possible please take a pic and tag @younghackney and let the girls know you stand with them.

The pledge sheets were developed by Charlene Brown in the Young Hackney Youth Services EVAWG Leaders Group.

The pledge sheets and mens’ teams solidarity pledge photos became part of photographer Roman Manfredi’s new work Fair Play, which also features portraits of Clapton CFC’s women and non-binary development and reserves teams. The exhibition runs until Tuesday (December 3) at Handbag Factory, Vauxhall. More information.

London boroughs and local organisations are also marking the 16 days with a number of events across the capital. More information.
