Clapton CFC Women’s First Team will play Comets in the second round of the Capital Women’s Cup.

The tie takes place at the Old Spotted Dog Ground on Sunday, November 17. Kick off is 2pm. This means that our scheduled league game against Brentford on that day has been postponed.

Comets, who play one division below, are going strong in the league and are still in the Women’s FA Cup, having knocked out Wycombe Wanderers in the last round. We’ve played them several times before in league games.

CCFC will play Aylesford in the second round of the London & South East Regional Women’s League Cup. That tie takes place at the Old Spotted Dog Ground on Sunday, December 1. Kick off is 1.30pm.

It will be our first meeting with the Kent-based side, who play at the same level as us in the L&SERWFL Division South and are currently in second place.

It looks like the winner of Clapton and Aylesford will travel to the winner of Barking vs AFC Whyteleafe in the third round.

We were knocked out of the Women’s FA Cup on penalties at Hutton, who are still going strong in the competition.
