It’s the big kick off on Sunday for the Clapton CFC Reserves Team and their first game in the Greater London Women’s Football League Division Two North.
Football legend Jill Scott sent them a good luck video message this week ahead of the first game, which is against Tower Hamlets Reserves.
This one is a 2pm kick off at Hackney Marshes (unfortunately clashing with the Women’s First Team home game at the same time) but most other home games will be at 10.30am.
Coaches Amii Griffith and Johanna Kuosa have a squad of 29 players registered and raring to go with others still awaiting international clearance.
The GLWFLD2N is within the women’s football pyramid and the team will be playing three divisions below our Women’s First Team.
The team is a successor to the Women/NB Development Team, which played in the London Women’s Saturday Football League.
