The Clapton CFC men’s first team have appointed Aaqib Hafeji as data analyst.
First team coach Ruudy Yusuf said: “Aaqib has been with me as a coach for the past 2 seasons coaching various age groups across youth football. At his young age, he has a tremendous understanding of the game and his analysis of the fine details is what made him a great candidate to come aboard. He will be a great asset to the management team.
“His current role will be to analyse the men’s first team’s matchday performances as well as the opposition for that game week. This in turn will improve our performance on and off the pitch, giving us all the data to achieve our short term and long term goals. But besides that, he understands the club and what we stand for which is just as important when joining the Clapton family.”
Aaqib, known as Aqs, said: “I am really thankful for the opportunity to be joining Clapton Community FC. I would like to thank the management team, staff and players for being very welcoming and have helped me to integrate as part of the group. Huge shout out to management, for helping me get my foot in the door early in men’s senior football. Forza Clapton!”
