We’ve now received the full season of fixtures for the men’s first team in the Eastern Counties League Division One South.
Originally we were given the first month of games – and we’ve played four of those already – and now we know the rest of the 2023/24 schedule. It is up on the club website.
The Clapton CFC men’s first team have 42 league games in total. There are two Tuesday home games scheduled, and a few night games away, although that’s likely to rise if there are postponements.
There are no Boxing Day or New Year fixtures, but there is a home game versus Tower Hamlets on Easter Monday. We’ll be away from home at Park View in Haringey on Non-League Day 2024, which is March 23.
Meanwhile the CCFC women’s first team fixtures for the first few months only are out. The season starts at the Old Spotted Dog Ground on August 20 with the visit of Sport London e Benfica, followed a week later by the reverse fixture.
A particularly notable game is the home Women’s FA Cup tie on September 10 against St Margaretsbury at the Old Spotted Dog Ground. All the women’s first team games are on the fixtures page.
Our women’s development team will start their season on September 9 and will now play games on Saturdays at Hackney Marshes. This is due to the expansion of the London Women’s Saturday Football League north of the Thames with the addition of a Division One North.
The men’s development team were promoted for the second time in three season and will start life in the Hackney & Leyton Football League Division One on September 10.
All fixtures for all teams are subject to change, even at short notice, so keep an eye on the website and social media.
