The Clapton CFC men’s first team game against the division’s form team Pitshanger Dynamo has been switched to the 3G pitch at Wadham Lodge in Walthamstow, with a 3pm kick off.
This is due to all games on Hackney Marshes being postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
We’ve played ‘home’ games on five different pitches so far this season but hopefully this will be one of our last nomadic games.
There are five further home matches left and we hope to play as many as possible at the Old Spotted Dog Ground, alongside the women’s first team.
This will be the last home game for the men’s first team until February 18 meaning there are four big games on the road in a row.
CCFC have hit the top of the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division with a run of 19 games unbeaten.
Pitshanger Dynamo are in red hot form and would be joint top with us except for two games awarded against them for admin reasons.
Last season they received a relegation reprieve after finishing second bottom. Amazingly, the turnaround has come from largely the same squad, with just a handful of key new additions, including Anguilla international striker Kyle Lake-Bryan.
Last season in our head-to-head meetings it was a win apiece, with a 3-2 win on the Stray Dog pitch but a fairly miserable 1-0 loss away towards the end of the season.
This season they’ve moved into Brentham FC’s ground, after their first team pulled out of the league.

Is the legendary Jack Starmer playing for Pitshanger this weekend?
