Thanks to you all who attended the two brilliant events in the Old Spotted Dog Ground Clubhouse last weekend.
There was a full house on Friday to see legendary comedian Mark Thomas along with support act Rajiv Karia plus a speech from Jay from No Sweat about workers rights in the global south.
We’re delighted that Mark was the first comedian to perform at the ground – many club members will have watched him over his 35 year career, and he’s been to watch CCFC before too.
That was the final instalment of Clapton Punks’ F*** FIFA events, organised as an alternative to the World Cup in Qatar.
The Christmas party on Saturday night was packed too, with brilliant ten-piece surf band Danny & The Moonlighters, a very competitive potato rolling contest and a lot of dancing.
Thanks to all who donated prizes for the raffle towards a new fridge freezer, which included a signed Courteney Cox T-shirt, Husk Brewery vouchers, books. beers and more.
Thanks too to all who attended and volunteered, and particularly to Mark Thomas and Danny & The Moonlighters, who both donated their time and services for free.
