The men’s first team were due to play their BBC Essex Premier Cup first round tie on Saturday, but the opponents pulled out so it’s a walkover win.
We tried to get a replacement league game to avoid two blank Saturdays in a row but in the end managed to sort a very tough friendly.
So we will take on Bush Hill Rangers – who have won four out of four in the Hertfordshire County Football League so far this season – at the Stray Dog in Walthamstow.
It’s a massive test for the team against one of the best at Step 7 in the area.
Match information
Clapton CFC vs Bush Hill Rangers is on Saturday, September 17 2022 at 3pm at the Stray Dog, Wadham Lodge, Kitchener Road, Walthamstow.
Advanced tickets are not needed, you can just turn up. Entry as usual is free but with donations welcome, with a suggested £2 for waged adults for friendlies.
The Matchday Centres bar will be open.
