Our title winning men’s development team have announced a run of pre-season friendlies ahead of the new season.

The team, managed by Justin Cummins, were winners of the Hackney in Leyton Sunday League Third Division last season and are looking to challenge for the title again following promotion.

After a series of trials and open training sessions, they’re stepping it up with some friendlies starting on August 7:

• August 7 Delta Athletic
• August 14, Wapping
• August 21, Fish Island
• September 4, South Thurrock
• September 11 Boundary Estate

All games kick off at 10.30am and they’re all on Hackney Marshes.

The development team have already started producing players for Geoff Ocran’s first team and will always look to help progress talent.

If you (or someone you know) wants to try out for the team then there are two more chances to join the open training sessions.

On July 24 and 31, we will be near the show pitches which are by the Hackney Marshes Centre off Homerton Road, E9 5PF.

Ensure you are wearing suitable footwear and bring your own water.
