Rest in peace our friend and brother Marcin

Last week we were met with the devastating news that one of our own had passed away.

Marcin was one of the best of us. He had a lovely heart, full of passion and made an impression on everyone who knew him.

He was one of the original Clapton Ultras back in the day and played a formative role in the early days of our building our supporters group.

He was there from the beginning, supporting the team during the games with a can of Tyskie in one hand and a roll-up in the other.

Marcin was also a regular feature of the boycott keeping us entertained on those long cold nights in the alley.

He devoted so many hours to building our group at matches and off the pitch – he designed banners, stickers, scarfs, and helped us paint and decorate the clubhouse.

An anarchist, antifascist, kind soul and raver he will be greatly missed.

To our friend Marcin ❤️ RIP

At the men’s first team game against NW London we will have a banner drop and minute’s silence before kick-off to pay tribute to Marcin.

Please arrive at 2.30pm to take part in the banner drop and be prepared to observe the silence if you are in or around the ground just before kickoff.

If you want to make an online donation for Marcin’s family, you can PayPal to the Clapton Punks ccfcblackmarket@gmail.com and reference Marcin.

  1. I and my wife are proud members and supporters of the Club, the ethos is one that we share with you. I talk to my friends locally, in the Walsall area who share some of my views and they too have “joined the ranks” My Brother lives in Spain and though he dislikes football even he takes time out to check on the clubs progress. When I read the article about Marcin, I see the pain that this news has caused and we would like to pass on our condolences to his friends and in particular his family at this very difficult time.

  2. Absolutely gutted to hear this. Had some great times with Marcin on the scaffold and stood on fridges down the alley during the boycott. Always friendly, always good fun. Sending love to his family.

  4. Trzymaj sie Pawel… zapraszamy na Old Spotted Dog. Take care bro. Rest in Punk Marcin
