Clapton CFC’s men’s development team manager Justin Cummins is planning to run his third London Marathon later this year – and he says it’s his last.
He is getting his running kit back on to raise money for a non-profit organisation offering services for young adults with special needs, physical disabilities and learning difficulties.
SCASS at Blossom House, on Upton Lane in Forest Gate, was founded in 2007 and serves Newham and the surrounding boroughs.
Its mission is to enable families and young adults to live a prosperous life by providing somewhere safe and supportive to socialise, be independent, develop life skills and also access opportunities.
Justin said:
I’m running to raise money for SCASS, a local charity that’s literally half a mile away from the Old Spotted Dog ground.
After a break-in at the back-end of September 2019 where the place was mindlessly just trashed, then being severely impacted by COVID, I have decided to help raise some much needed funds to enable them to hopefully revamp at least one of their sensory rooms so that they can provide this invaluable support for the local community.
I would really appreciate if you could help me raise as much as I can. Thank you.
Good luck! If you are able to chip in, Justin’s GoFundMe page is below.
