Sorry for the late call, but today’s match is off after a few of our squad tested positive for Covid-19.
Other squad members who have been in contact with them at training have since received notifications that they need to self-isolate.
We wish them a speedy recovery and advise everyone to be cautious and maintain social distance as much as possible.
The Clapton CFC women’s first team couldn’t have a harder task in bouncing back from a rusty defeat against the Comets last week.
The team head to league leaders Walton Casuals Ladies at the impressive Xcel Sports Hub in Walton-on-Thames for a rare 3pm kick off.
Our hosts have won seven out of seven this season, and had already tied up the title last time out before Covid hit and the season was null and void.
Last season’s clashes were exciting close run affairs – 2-1 and 3-1 – but Walton Casuals won them both.
Some of last season’s all-conquering team have moved on, but their replacements have picked up where they left off.
