After the somewhat depressing financial report we gave in April 2020, we are really pleased to confirm that May has been a far better month – largely because, although no matches were obviously played, our income was boosted by the reopening of the club’s online store.
In May 2020, the club spent a total of £8,107.92. Most of this expenditure was for production costs for our face masks, totalling £7,925.83.
In total, the club’s income in May 2020 was £35,685.60. This included £27,258.02 in merchandise sales and £7,525.16 in the sales of face masks (which are non-profit and therefore listed separately).
We also received £669.47 in membership fees.
The difference between income and spending on face masks is because the club took the decision to purchase additional plain masks to give away to local community groups.
CLAPTON AGAINST CORONA HARDSHIP FUND
Many individual members of Clapton CFC are also struggling financially right now, which is why we set up Clapton Against Corona, our hardship fund to support our community through this difficult period. Find out how to contribute to the Fund here.
In May 2020, the income and spending for the Hardship Fund was:
Donations received for CCFC supporters | £935.79 |
Payments made from Hardship Fund | £1,295.00 |
In total, £6,273.10 has been received and £3,505 has been paid out so far from the Hardship Fund since it was set up in March.
